The Grand Rapids Alumnae Chapter, home to more than 50 active members, was chartered on November 17, 1968. Since that time, our chapter has contributed, supported and advocated for numerous community issues that align with the sorority's Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
o Educational Development
o Economic Development
o International Awareness and Involvement
o Physical and Mental Health
o Political Awareness and Involvement.
We are very proud of the work we do in this community, which is motivated by the vision of the 22 illustrious Founders of our sisterhood. Our chapter will continue to build and strengthen critical partnerships that will ultimately benefit, lift and empower the black community as stated in our sorority's mission.
To our current and active membership, I value your commitment and tireless dedication to developing, planning and executing the programs of our sorority. To our sorors that are transitioning into the community or that reside here and are interested in reactivating your membership, we welcome you with open arms and extend to you a warm and sisterly invite to connect with us at any time.
We appreciate you visiting our site and taking interest in learning more about our programs, initiatives, and community sponsored events. Please browse our photo gallery, our events page, or if you wish, leave a comment.
Sincerely,
Mia Gutridge
President, Grand Rapids Alumnae Chapter
