The Social Action Committee hosted an amazing event, It Starts With Me: Youth and Government Conference! Students were able to engage in topics related to community engagement, self advocacy, and social action! We’d like to thank our Student Panelists: Drue Bender, Rachel Ibarra, and Ja’Von Fields, our Workshop Leader: Commissioner Lisa Knight, and our Keynote Speaker: U.S. Representative Hillary Scholten, for taking time to share words of wisdom and empowerment to our students! Shaping the leaders of tomorrow is a community effort, and we thank our community leaders for leading the charge!
